Travel costs
Two charges apply: one for the therapist's travel time and one for kilometres travelled.
Applies to both NDIS and private clients when sessions take place outside our clinic. No travel costs apply to clinic or telehealth sessions.
Travel time
Charged for the time it takes your therapist to travel to you at the start of the session and back afterwards. Travel times follow the Modified Monash Model (MMM) used by the NDIS, up to a maximum of 30 minutes each way.
Kilometres
Charged per kilometre for the return trip from our clinic to your location and back. This covers the vehicle running and maintenance costs that allow us to come to you.
Cancellations
We ask for one business day's notice so we can offer your time to someone else.
24 business hours' notice
Please let us know at least 24 business hours before your appointment start time to change or cancel.
Late or missed
Cancelling within one business day, or not attending, is charged at the full session fee.
If we cancel
If your therapist cancels an appointment, you will not be charged.
Pricing FAQs
Fees & funding
Our private fees reflect the true cost of delivering personalised, flexible services. This enables us to maintain high standards of care, invest in our team, and continue providing responsive support tailored to each individual's needs.
Unlike NDIS pricing, our private rates are reviewed regularly to ensure they remain aligned with industry standards while carefully balancing operational costs and the impact on our clients.
Yes. Our NDIS rates match the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements. When the NDIS updates its rates, we update ours too, and we'll always let you know ahead of any change.
Not at all. We welcome private clients and can also assist with other funding pathways, such as Medicare and private health insurance. Reach out and we'll point you in the right direction.
Yes. In addition to face-to-face (or telehealth) sessions, there may be charges for professional time spent on work completed outside of appointments when it directly relates to your care. This can include attending meetings, liaising with family members or other professionals, case conferences, preparing reports, developing resources or therapy materials, reviewing documentation, or other agreed administrative tasks.
We will always discuss and obtain your consent before undertaking any non-session work that may incur additional fees.
Group fees are calculated differently to individual sessions. The hourly rate is divided across the number of participants, so the more participants, the lower the cost per person. Fees may vary depending on the type of therapy, the therapist's qualifications and the number of therapists needed to run the group.
Before a group starts, you'll receive a Group Therapy Service Agreement outlining the fee per session or for the full program. Short-notice cancellations may incur a fee in line with NDIS guidelines.
Medicare & private health
To obtain a Medicare-funded Care Plan in WA, book an appointment with your GP and request an assessment. If you have a chronic or ongoing health condition and meet the eligibility criteria, your GP can prepare a Care Plan and provide referrals to allied health services. Medicare will then cover part of the cost for a limited number of sessions each year, although a gap fee may apply.
Yes, you can use your existing GP Care Plan with our services, provided you have a current referral from your GP that is addressed to our clinic or practitioner. If your plan is still valid and you have remaining Medicare-funded sessions available, you'll be able to claim the applicable rebate. If you're unsure whether your referral is suitable, feel free to contact us and we'll be happy to check for you.
Medicare rebates apply to eligible face-to-face (or approved telehealth) consultation sessions only. Costs such as travel time, travel fees, report writing, phone calls, case conferences, meetings with other professionals, or non-attendance/late cancellation fees are not covered by Medicare and are privately payable.
If you're unsure whether a specific service is claimable, please contact us and we'll be happy to clarify.
Yes. We accept all major private health insurance providers. Please let us know your provider before we issue an invoice. Coverage for allied health services varies between providers and policies, so we recommend checking with your insurer before making a claim.
Once full payment is received, we will issue an invoice you can use to submit a manual claim. On-the-spot claiming is also available for clinic visits.
Sessions, travel & payments
Yes, telehealth is available for many of our services and is charged at the same hourly rate. No travel costs apply.
If your therapist travels to you, we charge for travel time (up to 30 minutes each way) and kilometres travelled, to and from the appointment location. Travel time is charged at 100% of the therapy hourly rate for private clients and 50% for NDIS clients. Kilometres are charged at $0.99 per kilometre travelled. You can use our travel estimator for a rough guide.
Cancellation fees apply to both private and NDIS services in line with our Cancellation Policy. We require at least 24 business hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment (for example, a 2pm Wednesday appointment must be cancelled by 2pm Tuesday; a 9am Monday appointment must be cancelled by 9am Friday). If you cancel within one business day or do not attend your appointment, the full session fee will be charged. If your therapist cancels, no fee will apply.
Payment options depend on how your services are funded (e.g. NDIS or private payment).
For private clients, our preferred payment method is electronic bank transfer or payment in person at the clinic. Our invoices also include details for card payments via Stripe.
For Medicare Care Plans or private health claims, payment is required upfront, and any applicable rebate will be paid directly into your nominated bank account. On-the-spot claiming is available in the clinic where applicable.
Invoices are issued after each session. NDIS invoices go to your plan manager (or you, if self-managed). Private invoices are emailed directly.
